These are the grains that contain gluten and should be avoided on a GF diet.  Wheat goes by many names and can be confusing at first.  Notice also that many "wheat free" items are NOT gluten free and need to be avoided.

Going Gluten-Free can seem overwhelming.  Give yourself leeway to learn and take it in steps.  As you get more comfortable with ingredients, label reading, and understanding how gluten affects you, move to the next step.

Once you've become comfortable with label reading and have eliminated the obvious sources, start investigating the less obvious sources of gluten that could be limiting your health progress.
